Our
line of Synergy® fabrics are made from DuPont Nomex®IIIA
T-462 - an intimate blend of 93% Nomex® Aramid/5% Kevlar®
Aramid/2% P-140 Carbon. Fabrics are woven in a variety of weights
and weaves including a 3.3 oz/sq.yd. ripstop, plain weaves from
3.3 to 7.5 oz/sq.yd., and twills up to 7.5 oz/sq.yd. Most of these
fabrics are made with Jet Spun yarn to enhance pilling performance.
All of these fabrics provide superior flame resistant protection
for the life of the garment and are used in such diverse industries
as Petrochemical, Industrial, Electric Utility and Fire Service.
Our
collection also includes a line of Firewear® fabrics made from
an inherently flame resistant blend of 55% Modacrylic and 45% Combed
Pima Cotton. This blend offers a huge aesthetic advantage when compared
to chemically treated fabrics and are flame resistant for the life
of the garment. All yarns are ring spun and plied for added strength.
The woven fabrics range in weight from 5.5 to 9.5 oz/sq. yd., and
we offer both twill and plain weaves. Also included in our Firewear®
line are knits from 6.0 to 14.0 oz/sq.yd. Jersey, pique, fleece,
ribs, and double French terry are the major stitches. Uses of Firewear®
knits include underwear, shirts, and sweat shirts. They offer style,
warmth, and excellent thermal protection.
Our fabrics
meet or exceed NFPA Standards 1971, 1975, 1977, 70E, ASTM - F1506
and OSHA 1910.269. We
believe Springfield's quality, service and competitive pricing are
second to none - you be the judge.
